Toshi Hoo

Toshi Anders Hoo is the Director of the Emerging Media Lab at Institute for the Future, a non-profit futures research, education and design collective based in Palo Alto, CA that has been helping the world think more creatively and strategically about possible futures for over 50 years. Toshi's work explores not just new media technologies, but also the new emerging media MYTHOLOGIES that are evolving to help us to map and navigate our complex relationships with ourselves, each other, the world, and our futures. Drawing from his background in immersive design, filmmaking, storytelling and facilitated ritual, Toshi's work explores new tools for collective sensemaking that help us discover new permissions, perspectives, and possibilities.
