Hilary Kivitz

Hilary is an investor in and advisor to venture-backed crypto and fintech companies and funds.

She was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz's crypto fund and, previously, at Ribbit Capital and Propel where she invested in and supported a large portfolio of fintech companies including some early bets in crypto. Hilary also spent several years at Skadden in New York where she was a trusted advisor to public and private companies and investment funds in corporate, securities and related matters. At Skadden, she led cutting-edge transactions in highly regulated industries, including the first hostile takeovers of a Bermuda reinsurer, a Maryland BDC and a major airline.

Hilary has worked with regulators at the SEC and in both houses of Congress regarding crypto regulatory matters. She has been a Lecturer at UC Berkeley School of Law, an Executive Fellow of the Berkeley Center for Law and Business, a member of the Steering Committee of TechGC, and a member of the Board of McSweeney’s Publishing.
