Marvis The Middleman Dixon

Marvis Dixon has continued to demonstrate and Advocate his unwavering commitment to diversity, equity and justice within the craft beer industry in Austin. Marvis, Lead At Fast Friends Beer Co. has cultivated a solid foundation of meaningful relationships and leverages them to promote and create positive change within our industry and throughout the city of Austin. As a recently elected treasurer and parliamentary of the 100 Black Men of Austin, Inc., an active member of MAS Cultura, A US Army Iraqi War Veteran and supporter of several other equity-oriented nonprofits and initiatives in Austin, Marvis facilitates collaborations and partnerships between local breweries and community organizations and causes. One such collaboration is the Black is Beautiful campaign, which garnered him the 2022 Ambassador of Craft award. Here in Central Texas, the campaign to raise awareness about the Black Is Beautiful Initiative, recruit breweries and even cideries, and fundraise for local charities and advocacy groups for People of Color has been spearheaded by Marvis Dixon, better known as ‘The Middleman’ for his skill at building bridges in the beer community and encouraging businesses to work together and brew Black Is Beautiful. Marvis currently has a collaboration beer called "AS ONE" with Shannon Harris of Urban Jungle Brewing to introduce BIPOC and non craft beer drinkers into craft beer.
