Daisy Jones & The Six

Next month Sam will star in the hugely anticipated Daisy Jones & The Six in which he takes on the male lead opposite Riley Keough. The Amazon studio/Hello Sunshine production is based on the New York Times best-selling novel of the same name. The series and book are loosely based on Fleetwood Mac and their rise (and fall) to fame, and focuses on the wild times of sex, drugs and rock n roll in the early 70s.
Sam recently wrapped filming the lead role in Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller Bagman, the film is due for release late 2023. He was most recently seen in the final season of the multi award winning Peaky Blinders reprising his role of Oswald Mosley, in which he first appeared to great critical acclaim in series 5. Prior to that he was seen in Netflix’s smash hit Enola Holmes which was officially their second most watched show of Summer 2020 with 76 million viewers. Other recent projects for Sam include Amazon’s rom-com The Book Of Love, Netflix’s Love Wedding Repeat, and the psychological thriller Every Breath You Take in which he starred alongside Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan.
Trained at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Sam has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters of the past decade: The Hunger Games franchise, Snow White and The Huntsman, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Claflin has also starred in dramas Me Before You alongside Emilia Clarke, My Cousin Rachel with Rachel Weisz, and Adrift with Shailene Woodley. He also starred in The Riot Club and earned a Best Actor nomination at the British Evening Standard Film Awards for the World War One saga Journey’s End and in Jennifer Kent’s The Nightingale, which received critical acclaim when it premiered at Venice Film Festival.
His previous television credits include the award-winning mini-series The Pillars of the Earth, Any Human Heart, and White Heat.
