Maaike Steinebach

Empowering women through technology is what drives Maaike. She believes that technology can democratize the financial, physical, mental and sexual well-being of women and will create a more equal world for all.

She recently started as Advisor to Sextech School, founded in 2021 by world renowned sextech expert Bryony Cole. She is also an alumni of Sextech School.

Maaike has over 20 years of business leadership and transformation experience in financial services and tech, having lived and held executive positions in London, Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Most recently she was CEO Hong Kong and Macau for the worlds leading payment company Visa. She has also held C-suite position in Asia for Commonwealth of Australia and ABN AMRO / FORTIS bank.

During her career she has built a reputation for innovative strategic thinking, and inclusive leadership, working with the highest level of integrity and a deep and meaningful commitment to change, people and clients.

She is an active community builder: she is the co-founder of the Hong Kong Fintech Association, co-founder of Women in Tech Asia and the Women Chief Executive Network in Hong Kong. She is also an active angel
investor and start up advisor to female founded and / or led businesses, active in femtech, web3 and tech.

Maaike has won numerous awards, including InspiringFifty, the Netherlands and is an active global public speaker. She holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and is currently based in Hong Kong.
