Preston Copley is a producer and creative executive with more than a dozen years’ experience
in audio, music, and live entertainment. Preston has pioneered groundbreaking initiatives for
the Audible Studio Originals brand, including Words + Music, a franchise of short form-memoir
storytelling shows featuring original music performance from icons of culture such as James
Taylor, Patti Smith, Eddie Vedder and Common, and Origins, the immersive podcast experience
featuring today’s biggest names in music, including Billie Eilish and Doja Cat, performing the
stories of how they became the artists they are today. Prior to joining Audible, Preston
produced for Broadway, television and film, overseeing development and production at Jean
Doumanian Productions, an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated, and Tony Award
winning, film, television and theatrical production company, as well as prior experience at the
Disney Theatrical Group. Preston was an early entrant into the podcasting industry in 2009 as a
producer of The SDCF Masters of the Stage podcast series for the labor union. Preston is from
Louisville, Kentucky and a married father of two.
