Sumi Cho
Sumi Cho has taught law courses on Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality along with traditional law courses for 25 years prior to retiring in 2021 from an ABA-accredited law school in the midwest. She came out of retirement to work with her friend and colleague, Kimberle Crenshaw, co-founder and Executive Director at the African American Policy Forum. A product of public education, Prof. Cho received her bachelor's, law, and doctoral degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. She proudly educated her twin daughter and son in district 299 of Chicago's excellent public schools.
Sumi currently serves as AAPF's Director of Strategic Initiatives where she helps to lead the #TruthBeTold campaign. She holds a Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies in addition to a J.D. and speaks around the world on multiracial democracy, Critical Race Theory, intersectionality, and other social justice issues.
