Joeben Bevirt

JoeBen Bevirt is the founder and CEO of Joby Aviation, a California-based mobility company that is building a fully electric vertical take-off and landing passenger aircraft that will transport four passengers and a pilot without any emissions. The aircraft has a remarkably low noise profile, helping it to access built-up areas, and is set to enter commercial service in 2025.

A serial entrepreneur, JoeBen has dedicated his life to driving radical innovation in the fields of electric propulsion and robotics. From Velocity11 which he founded to develop high-performance robotic laboratory systems to SummerBio, a company he set up during the recent pandemic to deliver robotic-supported Covid-testing, JoeBen has a history of driving successful startups that make a real difference to the world. He holds 40 U.S. patents and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
