Claudix Vanesix (they/them)
XR Artist and Performer.
Decolonial feminist and trans non binary cyborg. Co-Founder of the collective AMiXR.
In their work Claudix combines immersive media with machine learning and performance art to reflect about internet culture, glocalization, phygitality, gamification and algorithmic patterns in society.
Their first film Diario Saborear premiered at the Transcinema International Festival, and was invited to the Berlinale Talents (Buenos Aires, 2019). Claudix has participated in creative residencies at Hebbel Am Ufer (Berlin), NAVE (Santiago), Matadero (Madrid) and Ars Electronica (Linz). They have received awards and funding for their VR projects from the Goethe Institut (Germany), Fundación Teatro a Mil (Chile), Teatro La Plaza (Peru), Mediamorfosis (Chile) and the Ministry of Culture of Peru.
Their work has been presented in galleries and festivals in the USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Claudix holds a BA in Performing Arts and is the scholarship holder of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (EMJMD, 2022) in Media Arts Cultures (MediaAC) that takes place in Austria, Denmark, Poland and Singapore.
