Nelva Williamson

Nelva is a 42 year veteran teacher in Houston, Texas. She currently teaches AP US History, AP World History and is a pilot teacher for the new AP African American Studies course. Nelva's love for history started early, with her love for African American history being fostered by her parents' Southern roots and the stories the family elders told during reunions. Teaching true and authentic history has been the focus of her teaching career. Daily she teaches the truth about the Motherland, the African Diaspora and the impact of African Americans on the foundations of this country through the present day.
