Amanda Garcia Davenport

Amanda Garcia Davenport joined the Recording Academy in January 2020 where she served as the Membership Manager for the Texas Chapter. In her current role, Amanda oversees membership outreach for Pop and EDM genres, while assisting the Texas and Memphis Chapters. Davenport joined the Recording Academy from Giant Noise PR where she served as Special Projects Manager to CEO. Prior to this, Davenport worked as the Outreach and Communications Specialist at SIMS Foundation, a local nonprofit that provides access to mental health and addiction recovery to music industry professionals and their families. Before her continuation into the nonprofit world, Davenport held several roles at Visit Austin including Music and Film Coordinator and Music Industry Manager. In this role she built and maintained relationships with local and regional partners to promote Austin, Texas as a premier travel destination and the “Live Music Capital of the World." Davenport grew up in San Antonio, TX and received her degree from Texas State University. She currently resides in South Austin with her husband, daughters and their dog, Chico.
