Kara Strait

Kara Strait is a trans director based in NYC. Through film and theater, she applies a surreal lens to stories of bodily autonomy, female pleasure, and queer transformations. Her work with Torn Out Theater made international headlines for its bold use of public nudity, and her writing was the basis for 2014’s award-winning film "Movement+Location".
