Jessica McEver

Jessica “Jessi” McEver belongs to the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and has dedicated her career to uplifting Native American narratives as a producer and culture change strategist. After supporting her tribe as a content creator, Jessi became a founding member of FireThief Productions, an Oklahoma-based, Native American-owned production company where she produced and edited several documentary features, shorts, and series including Love and Fury (Netflix), Chillocco: Through the Years, Osiyo TV and Terlton, in addition recent pieces, Katishtya Girl: Madison Hammond, the NWSL’s First Native American Player and Killers of the Flower Moon: An Osage Perspective. As a culture change strategist, Jessi inspires change within Hollywood by creating dynamic opportunities for Native Americans working in media, serving as a consultant on titles including, Echo, providing publicity support for independent filmmakers from marginalized communities, as well as cultivating creative expansion and meaningful inclusion for projects and campaigns. Jessi is a proud co-founder of the Tulsa Film Collective, a non-profit dedicated to nurturing Tulsa's filmmaker community through dynamic community events and skill-enhancing workshops to strengthen connections and sustain the magic of movie-making. Jessi serves her community as an advisor to Circle Cinema, the Indian Territory Film Festival, and Native Reel Cinema Fest.
