Randall Foster
Randall Foster is an innovative entertainment executive and music professional. He is Chief Creative Officer and General Manager of Symphonic’s Nashville operation.
Foster opened the Nashville offices of independent distribution powerhouse, Symphonic Distribution in the Spring of 2019. Since those humble beginnings, the Symphonic Nashville team has grown immensely adding company department heads in Client Marketing, Streaming Promotions, YouTube/User-Generated content monetization, and Publishing Administration/Business Affairs. The primary goals are continued content acquisitions and distribution deals, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, oversight of rights management at Symphonic and the creative growth of Symphonic’s music publishing wing, Symphonic Music Publishing. Additionally, he oversees Symphonic sister company, Bodega Sync- a sync licensing agency as well as Nashville based, Streaming Promotions. A 20 year music industry veteran, Randall was most recently at ole Music Publishing as Sr. Director and Head of Creative Sync and Licensing where he achieved massive success in the Wrigley Extra gum ad campaign featuring the now platinum single, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” recorded by Haley Reinhart and produced by Foster. Not to mention countless other syncs featuring the likes of RUSH, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, Ginuwine, Lil Dicky, Toby Keith, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Panama Wedding, Mother Mother and many others.
In addition to his work in music publishing he has also held posts in the record business, digital and physical distribution, and synchronization licensing. He started out in the industry as a top-call club DJ in both the Kansas City and Miami areas.
Randall holds a Master’s Degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industries from the University of Miami. Foster is a member of Leadership Music, voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (GRAMMYs), Chairman of the Nashville Chapter of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), Vice President of the Board for the Nashville Film Festival, actively serves on committees for the American Bandmasters Association, and is a past board member of both the Society of Leaders In Development (SOLID) and ALIAS (a nonprofit dedicated to music education and philanthropic outreach). In addition to these activities, Randall is a member of various trade and music advocacy organizations including the Music Business Association, Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA), and the NAMM Support Music Coalition. Foster also keeps an active lecturing and speaking schedule making appearances at various Universities and conferences annually.
