Karl Fowlkes is an internationally recognized entertainment lawyer, tech investor, and entrepreneur who has negotiated over $45 million worth of groundbreaking deals in the entertainment industries under his own practice – The Fowlkes Firm. The firm’s clients include artists, athletes, music producers and creative companies that have amassed billions of streams, GRAMMY awards and cultural accolades. He’s also an equity partner in a full-service recording, publishing and venture company called EVGLE.

When he’s not building businesses, Karl continues to pave paths for Black artists, music producers, songwriters, athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, and students through education – producing 41 Medium articles and 3 university-level music business exams for those in his community to sharpen skills in the music business. In addition to his own community, he’s an adjunct professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia teaching courses in Hip-Hop Evolution, Music Publishing, Contracts in the Music Industry and Copyright Law. Karl earned a Bachelor’s in Journalism from St. John’s University with and his JD at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
