John H Lang is a producer and Head of Production of The Ranch Productions. His most recent work previous to The Ranch includes the Michael Paul Stephenson directed documentary Attack of the Murder Hornets (2021), which premiered on Discovery+, Spree (2020) starring Joe Keery which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, and Best Seller (2019) directed by Nora Kirkpatrick and starring Beth Grant, Erinn Hayes, Noureen DeWulf, Jen Tullock, Barry Rothbart, and Nico Santos.

In 2013, John co-founded the production company Divide/Conquer where they produced Harry Dean Stanton’s final film, Lucky (2017), ten feature films with Blumhouse including CAM (2018), the 2015 SXSW Jury Award winning short film Pink Grapefruit (2015), as well as dozens of commercials, short films, documentary recreations, music videos, a few more feature films, and the live-action virtual reality productions Virtually Mike & Nora (2017), the first ever virtual reality sketch show created by Nora Kirkpatrick and SNL alum Mike O’Brien, and Door No.1 (2018), the first ever choose-your-own adventure VR series, written and directed by Nora Kirkpatrick for Hulu and Ryot, before departing in 2018.

Projects John has produced have played film festivals and cinema screens the world over and been distributed by companies such as Netflix, Hulu, Universal, IFC, Magnolia, and Warner Media.

Additionally, John is an alum of the 2014 Sundance Institute Feature Film Creative Producing Lab and Fellowship.
