John Lang

John Lang is a Producer and Head of Production with The Ranch Productions. His recent work as a Producer includes CANVAS (Cinequest ‘24), SPREE (Sundance ‘20), directed by Eugene Kotlyarenko, and the documentary Attack of the Murder Hornets (2021).

With The Ranch, he has recently overseen production of the documentaries, TAKIN’ CARE OF BUSINESS (TIFF ‘24), HUNG UP ON A DREAM: THE ZOMBIES DOCUMENTARY (SXSW ‘23), and the feature narrative THE GOOD HALF (Tribeca ‘23).

Previously, John co-founded the production company Divide/Conquer. During his tenure the company produced and ep’d 14 feature films as well as dozens of commercials, short films, documentary recreations, music videos, and two live-action virtual reality productions.

John is an alum of the 2014 Sundance Institute Feature Film Creative Producing Lab and Fellowship, 2017 Rotterdam Lab, 2017 Marché du Film Producers' Workshop, 2017 Frontières Co-Production Market, and the 2017 Sundance/Women In Film Financing & Strategy Intensive.
