Arun Castro
Dr Arun Castro is Medical Director at TheTourDoc.com & RoadieMedic.com . After experiencing career-burnout working in London's Emergency Rooms, he revived his career by working as a freelance doctor at some of the UK’s largest festivals & stadia.
Time spent working the British festival-medical scene at Glastonbury, Womad, Reading & Download amongst others, brought him greater awareness of the challenges of tour life. In response he set up RoadieMedic.com to address the unmet healthcare needs of artists and the wider touring community.
During the pandemic he collaborated with Music Industry Therapists Collective (MITC), providing a chapter & medical editorial towards their forthcoming book “Touring & Mental Health.”
TheTourDoc.com and sister clinic RoadieMedic.com integrate expertise from a unique roster of performing arts doctors, physiotherapists and MITC affiliated psychotherapists to deliver holistic continuity of care on the road.
TheTourDoc Clinic principally focuses on optimising artist and performer health, whilst Roadie Medic solves the need for accessible, timely and affordable healthcare for production professionals working in touring, film & live events.
Clinics run Face to Face, On Tour and Online.
On-demand bookings are supported by Cliniko, a secure tele-health platform which links seamlessly with prescription advancing, meaning missed pills due to lost luggage & refill run-outs are a thing of the past.
