Margo Ellis
Margo Ellis was born into an activist family and in 2020 began building Margo’s Migration, a nonprofit dedicated to the art of community building and connecting.
As a Staff Sergeant in the Marines Ms. Ellis helped usher in the Anbar Awakening as a Lioness in Fallujah from 2007-2008.
Ms. Ellis then went to work as the DC Regional Director for Student Veterans of America (SVA) where she helped pass legislation improving education benefits and access to mental healthcare. This led to her working as a Legislative Aid for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
After graduation from Georgetown she went to work in Private Banking, then as an entrepreneur before accepting a role working for Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) and dedicating herself to the work of building and connecting.
