Matt Thompson
Matt Thompson (@mthomps) is Editor of Headway at The New York Times, a new journalism initiative to investigate global and national challenges across economic, social, health, infrastructural and environmental domains. He was previously Editor in Chief at Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting; Executive Editor of The Atlantic; and Director of Vertical Initiatives (and Mischief) at NPR, where he led the creation of several teams of broadcast and digital journalists, including Code Switch and NPR Ed. He sits on the board of directors of The Texas Tribune, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and Capital B.
