Raphael Mak was born and raised in Hong Kong and now based in Stockholm, Sweden. With an academic background in music and urban planning, he is a multidisciplinary artist and entrepreneur working across music, visual arts, multimedia, sports, urbanism and tourism.
He first got into placemaking in college, which combined neatly with his love for the sport of urban orienteering. He leads the placemaking working group at the Pedestrian Space network, a global network of urbanists that work on walkability and various other topics in sustainable urban planning.
