U.S. Department of Energy

Eric Werling is National Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Building America and Zero Energy Ready Homes programs. Prior to DOE, Eric served the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) where he led the Indoor airPLUS program launched in 2009 and helped launch the ENERGY STAR for New Homes program in 1995. He has a MS in Architectural Engineering and a MBA, both from Penn State University, and a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy. Eric is father of 3 and plays in 2 bands, including the Building Science Boogie Band.
