Caryl M Stern

Caryl Stern is executive director of the Walton Family Foundation. She was previously president and CEO of UNICEF USA for 14 years. Prior to that, Stern held the roles of senior associate national director and COO at the Anti-Defamation League, founding director of its A World of Difference Institute, and dean of students at Polytechnic University. An activist, author, and public speaker, she presented at the White House’s inaugural summit on The United State of Women. Stern’s board service includes The Container Store, We Are Family Foundation, and the Chime for Change Advisory Board. Among other honors, she received the Helenka Pantaleoni Humanitarian Award from UNICEF USA in 2020 and was named one of People’s 25 Women Changing the World in 2017.
