Satoshi Uto

Satoshi Uto is the Director of Music Acquisitions at Crunchyroll, the global leader in bringing fans the ultimate anime experience, responsible for driving the brand’s strategic music initiatives.

Uto joined Crunchyroll from Sony Music Entertainment Japan (SMEJ), where he held a variety of roles during his 13 year stint, most recently as the Senior Director of Global Business Development where he was focused on the growth of the pay-per-view streaming service Stagecrowd. In this role, Uto was also responsible for the creation of growth strategies for Sony Music Japan’s recording businesses, especially around anime-related music. Other notable music releases include Face My Fears from Hikaru Utada and Skrillex and the FINAL FANTASY Original soundtrack.
