Kelly Doyle Kim
Kelly Doyle is the Open Knowledge Coordinator for the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative. Doyle collaborates with Smithsonian staff members and the wider Wikimedia community to address the gender imbalance on Wikipedia, where less than 19% of biographies are about women. She works to increase the representation of American women online and advocate for open access to digitized cultural heritage assets. Doyle organizes and promotes public programs such as edit-a-thons, and coordinates batch uploads of Smithsonian assets to Wikimedia. She is on the board of directors for Wikimedia District of Columbia. Previously, she was Wikipedian in Residence for Gender Equity at West Virginia University, the first role of its kind at an academic library in the United States.
