Lia Siegelman

Lia Siegelman is currently a Scripps Institution of Oceanography postdoctoral fellow working on polar dynamics of giant gaseous planets. She received her Ph.D. in physical oceanography from Université de Bretagne Occidentale, France in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Patrice Klein (JPL/Caltech), focusing on dynamics in the ocean interior. She is interested in scale interactions in the ocean and planetary atmospheres. Her work uses a combination of geophysical fluid dynamics principles, in situ and remote sensing observations and idealized and realistic numerical simulations.
