Beth Darnall
Beth Darnall, Ph.D. is Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and Director of the Stanford Pain Relief Innovations Lab. She creates and investigates brief, digital, and on-demand analgesic interventions that dismantle barriers to high-quality care. As Chief Science Advisor at AppliedVR, she helped create RelievRx, the first fully home-based pain relief skills immersive therapeutic that received FDA marketing authorization. Her innovations have been featured in outlets such as Scientific American, The Guardian (Australia), NPR Radio, BBC Radio, Nature and New York Times. In 2018 she spoke on the psychology of pain relief at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
