Jonathan Pompa

Jon Pompa, CEO of Reefgen, develops robotic systems for complex environments, ranging from turbulent air to deep ocean. He studied physical oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. During his career, he has served as chief engineer at Hadal, Inc, designing multiple deep-ocean acoustic mapping vehicles, led research projects to develop soft inflatable robotics for subsea and space use, as well as working on Makani Power's flying wind harvesters and Vector Launch's composite rockets. He has always spent his leisure time in or on the ocean and is now proud to be able to help build the tools we need to care for our ocean ecosystems.
