Aisha Nyandoro

Coming from a family legacy of public service and civil rights advocacy, Dr. Aisha Nyandoro is on a mission to holistically support families as they work to exit poverty. As the Founding CEO of Springboard To Opportunities, she uses a “radically resident-driven” approach to end generational poverty. She’s both deeply practical, strategic and very impatient; after realizing her organization wasn’t moving the needle on poverty quickly enough, she launched the first guaranteed income program for single Black mothers in the United States – The Magnolia Mother’s Trust. Aisha is working to show how the success of the Trust can be scaled nationally through policies like the expanded Child Tax Credit and a federal guaranteed income. She lives in Jackson with her husband and two very charming sons.
