A former senior editor at ESSENCE & writer at FORTUNE, Kimberly is a leading voice on birth, breastfeeding & motherhood at the intersection of race, class & policy. She is exec. director of Narrative Nation, only Black woman-led non-profit that creates narrative-centered multi-media platforms & tech products to address racial disparities in maternal & infant health. She is the founder of Irth, (Birth but without B for bias), the “Yelp-like” review & rating app for Black & brown women & birthing people to leave & find reviews of Ob/GYNs, hospitals & pediatricians as a digital tool to address bias and racism in care & to drive transparency & accountability in medical system.
