James Johnson

A former registered nurse, respiratory therapist and a volunteer at hospitals around the world, James was in a rollover accident in 2017 that left him paralyzed from the neck down. He spent three months in a medically induced coma and was later introduced to researchers at Caltech where he entered a brain-computer interface study. An artist and gamer prior to the accident, James is now proficient at Photoshop, video games, and car simulators using his BCI. James is also a neurotechnology consultant, advising on device user experience and design.
