Leslie Shannon

Leslie Shannon is the Head of Ecosystem and Trend Scouting for Nokia. A Silicon Valley-based futurist, she examines new technologies and how they will converge to change human/computer interaction. Before 2015, Leslie was based with Nokia in Australia and Finland, where she analyzed how people use mobile data and how they integrate computing into their daily lives. She now focuses on identifying tech disruptions and opportunities, including 5G-powered developments in robotics, drones, visual analytics, cloud gaming, and especially Augmented and Virtual Reality, the foundations of the Metaverse. Leslie holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in the History of Art from Yale University. She does all of her daily fitness work in Virtual Reality.
