Laura Ellis

Laura Ellis is a technologist and journalist with a focus on emerging technology, machine learning and data. She has worked in radio, TV, and online news, leading teams through significant change and developing a range of digital products. In her current role as Head of Technology Forecasting for the BBC she focuses on technology engagement, AI and Machine Learning, synthetic media, ethics and disinformation. She is a co-founder of the Origin Project, now a consortium building a multi-agency approach to media provenance.
