Jonathan Gardner

Jonathan Gardner, Esq. graduated from Bowdoin College and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996. After law school, Gardner served as a business affairs executive at Universal and Fox before co-founding Cohen Gardner LLP in 2002. His practice focuses on writers, directors, and producers. Gardner has established himself as one of the premier dealmakers in the motion picture and television business, frequently representing high-profile talent or producers involved in major festival bidding wars, headline negotiations with studios and the filmmakers behind award season contenders. Gardner has been profiled multiple times in the Hollywood Reporter and Variety and has spoken on film panels at Sundance, SXSW and Cannes. Gardner has produced or executive produced 16 films including HEREDITARY, A24’s highest grossing domestic release to date.
