Felipe Parages

Felipe Parages is a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer. He currently leads Valkyrie’s efforts building advanced data-driven analytics and AI technologies for motorsports. He is also involved in researching evidence of opioid addiction patterns in brain-wave scans by leveraging machine learning algorithms. In the past, he worked developing AI models in fields such as fleet management, emergency medical services, and industrial IoT. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Tech in 2017, with a dissertation about developing AI models to predict the risk of physicians at missing lesions in medical images. Prior to that, he obtained his engineering diploma from Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain), where he is originally from.
