Neelam Patel

Former high-tech executive Neelam Patel torched her 22-year career to pursue her creative passions. As an author, custom poet, dancer, actor, and speaker, she is invested in honestly exploring the often uncomfortable layers of life’s imperfect “messy middle”. She graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in computer science and from Theatre Lab’s Honors Acting Conservatory. She wrote, performed, and produced four one-woman shows based on her poetry while holding down a demanding day job. In 2020, she left her career and
generated her debut collection, Burning It Down: Dancing in the Rubble, an Amazon Best Seller in two categories. When she’s not fulfilling custom poem orders, you can find Neelam practicing her newly acquired swimming ability.
