Payal Luthra

Payal Luthra leads and coordinates WWF’s global efforts in the apparel and textile sector. Her role includes guiding strategy, supporting transformational corporate partnerships with apparel and textile brands, and supporting WWF’s textile-related projects on-ground in freshwater, biodiversity, and climate & energy.

Before joining WWF, Ms. Luthra was Founder and Creative Director of Payal Luthra Ecologies, an ethical and sustainable fashion label with a mission to celebrate nature and wildlife through design, while raising awareness and supporting conservation.

In her 20-year career she has lived and worked in multiple continents, and has broad experience in architectural design, participatory planning, and consulting. In the US she studied at Sea Education Association at Woods Hole, received her BA from Colby College, and she holds an MArch from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
