Kim Croes

At the age of 28 in metro-Detroit, Kim switched to hempcrete builder from a career in the house painting industry after she became aware of the toxins we consistently put in our homes. Breathing it everyday for 8 hours a day, she worried about what longterm affects this might have on herself and clients.
She was trained as a subcontractor spray-apply installer with the Ereasy hempcrete system. In fall, 2022 the FiberFort crew began work on a two-story hempcrete-insulated home as part of a new ecological development project in the inner suburbs of Detroit.
