Marija Silk
Marija Silk, the founder of Silk Strategy, is a New York-based film publicist, promotion specialist and consultant with an international perspective and more than a decade of diverse marketing, distribution, social media and strategic partnership experience within the U.S. and European film industries.
Silk represents films at Sundance, SXSW, TIFF, NYFF, Tribeca, Telluride, Berlinale, and other film festivals. She worked on the publicity campaigns for Palme d’Or winners and Academy Award nominees SHOPLIFTERS and THE SQUARE, Academy Award nominees MINDING THE GAP and RBG, as well as THE TERRITORY, NEPTUNE FROST, SOMETHING IN THE DIRT, STUDIO 54, THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MY MOTHER, THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING, THE BRINK, SISTERS WITH TRANSISTORS and more, distributed by A24, Magnolia, HBO Documentary Films, Kino Lorber, Metrograph, IFC Films and others.
Born and raised in Lithuania, Silk is passionate about promoting films from the Baltic region. She has served as the Head of Promotion at the NY Baltic Film Festival as part of its organizing committee and advised on the festival's programming.
