Jennifer Salke
At the helm of Amazon + MGM Studios, Jennifer Salke is responsible for all aspects of series and film development, production and acquisitions for the global entertainment division. She has notably dramatically expanded the volume and scope of Amazon’s production operation since she took the helm as Amazon Studio’s chief in February 2018. In 2022, Jennifer expanded her role as studio chief at the helm of MGM Studios too.
The respected development executive led Amazon Studios to its first comedy series Emmy win with its much-lauded comedy series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and released acclaimed titles such as the Emmy-winning comedy “Fleabag,” “The Terminal List,” “Reacher,” “Wheel of Time,” “Harlem,” “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” and Emmy-nominated “The Boys” and “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.” Movie launches under her tenure include “Sound of Metal,” “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm,” “Coming 2 America,” “Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse,” “The Tomorrow War,” “Being the Ricardos” and the recent Emmy-nominated documentary “Lucy and Desi.” Most recently, Jennifer has been at the helm of leading the “Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power” global release.
Prior to Amazon, Salke was President of NBC Entertainment, a title she had held since July 2011. Salke was responsible for comedy development, drama development, current programming, casting and diversity programming initiatives, as well as the entirety of Universal Television operations, which includes parallel divisions of development, programming and casting. Salke served as Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs at Twentieth Century Fox Television. In 2002, Salke joined Twentieth Century Fox as Senior Vice President of Drama Development. She began her career at Aaron Spelling Productions.
