In 2022, Thai led the deal that merged Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Productions and Laugh Out Loud to form global, multi-platform media company HARTBEAT, raising $100M from Abry Partners to fuel its growth. She now leads HB as CEO, previously serving as President & COO of LOL and COO of Hartbeat Productions. At LOL, she brought in top entertainment, brand and distribution partners, growing it from its original AVOD vision to a full service business with an expansive distribution network, marketing, experiential, branded content, digital and social capabilities. She co-led LOL’s capital raise/partnership deal with NBCUniversal’s Peacock, brought LOL’s Comedy in Color franchise (300 diverse comedians from 30 different countries) to JFL, and expanded LOL Audio’s offerings.
