Michelle Davey is the CEO and co-founder of Wheel, the health tech company powering the next generation of healthcare. Michelle is passionate about expanding access to care after her own experiences growing up in rural Texas with limited medical resources, ultimately leading to an autoimmune condition going undiagnosed for 15 years. Recognizing the potential of virtual care, Michelle founded Wheel in 2018 to put great care within everyone’s reach. Today, Wheel provides the most innovative companies in healthcare with everything they need to deliver high-quality virtual care, including the technology infrastructure and a nationwide clinician network. The company has raised over $200M in funding and is backed by leading investors, including Lightspeed, CRV, and Salesforce Ventures. Prior to Wheel, Michelle served as the head of global talent and shared services for Medici and held talent leadership roles at Google and Favor Delivery.
Michelle is a nationally recognized thought leader on digital health, virtual care innovation, and leadership. She frequently shares her extensive expertise at industry events, such as HLTH and the Rock Health Summit, and in leading publications, including Forbes, Fast Company, and TechCrunch. She was named one of Goldman Sachs Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022, to Insider’s list of “30 Leaders under 40 Changing Healthcare” and a FierceHealthcare “Rising Star in Health Tech.” Outside of Wheel, Michelle spends her time as a mentor and angel investor for early stage, female founders.
