Presented by Tulsa House

Historically, a person’s gender, race, and/or geography has precluded them from traditional VC funding sources— especially as the coasts have dominated the share of VC spending in the United States. This means that there is a whole subset of founders and entrepreneurs that are being looked-over. Additionally only 22% of the US venture capital workforce is considered racially diverse (3% black; 4% hispanic)with only 4.9% of U.S. based VC partners being women.
The Investing in the Underinvested panel is for underinvested founders, investors, and diverse aspiring investors who are looking to uncover what it takes to secure pre-seed and seed investment, discover why these VCs believe there is proven alpha in the underinvested and uncover the pathways for diverse professionals to enter VC.
