COVID to Cancer: Government's Role in Healthtech

How can the Government lead the next transformation in health? Due to significant advances in the field of health technology and machine learning applications, the future of AI in healthcare holds the potential to significantly improve medical outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and save lives. Covid-19 led to the adoption of new ways of developing vaccines, use of AI and wearables to identify sickness (including Covid) in advance of symptoms, and new tools to identify cancer. To transform healthcare, the US Government needs to foster public-private partnerships and find new ways to advance the development and adoption of new technologies for tomorrow’s epidemics and sickness. This panel will feature stakeholders from both government and industry working together to achieve those goals.
