Presented by Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein
Brazil is one of the most unequal countries when it comes to health, due to its large territorial extension and extremely unequal medical resources. In this scenario, private-public partnerships could contribute to expand the right to universal health. In this session, we will present 5 ways technology can promote more equitable health care in countries like Brazil: telemedicine for vulnerable populations in the Amazon; digital medical consulting for public ICUs; a collaborative platform to map and reduce multidrug-resistant infections in public ICUs; research, data cross-referencing and interventions on mental health in the Paraisópolis favela; and the creation of an innovation center in the Amazon focused on biotechnology and the relationship between health and environment.
