For 15+ years, Martin Atkins's maxim has been “If you know that you’re f*cked, then you’re not. If you think that you’re not, then you are!” On the tenth anniversary of his second book, Martin asks, "what has changed, and how might a look back help us move forward?" Of course, other than inserting a bunch of “I told you so's.”
Are artists doing anything better? Inspiring more? Blaming less? Gigs, merchandise, and the DIY mindset still rule. What else has stayed the same? At least gas prices haven’t changed much (and thank goodness for the increased Spotify payments..jk!).
Using humor as a weapon, (see above!) Martin will point out the obvious, throw light in some dark corners, and create another valuable session giving realistic, and attainable goals.
