Recording: Debunking Pipeline Myths & Solving the Network Gap, Date TBA

Companies spend $660B/year on marketing, recruiting, and diversity efforts. Yet this spending hasn’t led to representation at work. At progressive levels, BIPOC representation is disproportionately low, dropping sharply to just 14% at executive levels, compared to 3x that, at 41% in the general population. Employers across industries continue to struggle to find & retain BIPOC leaders. The common refrain “only entry-level professionals of color exist” exacerbates the myth of the pipeline problem and reality of the network gap, the advantage some have as a result of where they went to school and who they know, which provides up to a 12x advantage in opportunity. This session demonstrates the keys to creating a sustainable community support system and ultimately health & generational wealth.
