On the internet, everyone is right about everything, including your health. Or at least that’s what it can feel like, leaving us to wonder: Do right and wrong answers still exist in medicine? The increasing popularity of social platforms and the internet has made it harder than ever to decipher between an actual fact, and what someone wants you to believe is one. It’s no longer a matter of who you can trust, but more so asking: how can we trust? What questions should you ask yourself about the sources of medical information when making important decisions about your health? Vineet Arora, Rich Baron and Joe Smyser will talk about the frightening things they’ve seen on the front lines of the misinformation pandemic and how we can better prepare ourselves to differentiate fact from fiction.
