Recording: How to Ethically Game a Release, Date TBA

Beatdapp’s Andrew Batey decided to test out how far he could push his non-traditional, startup-minded and tech-driven release ideas by recording a song and trying to get into the US charts. He hit no.4 in the US Singles Chart but still counts his release as an overall failure – this panel explains why.

This panel explores the methodology, technology, and moral principles of his journey and others, including a nod to Web3.0 and ‘gamification’. It will look at ethical routes to cut through the noise in the attention economy, and what is needed to make initial attention turn into long term success with expert advice from the panellists. It also explores the negative side of gaming the streaming system, with insights from Beatdapp’s streaming fraud detection tools.
