The Power of Provocation: Liberating Creativity
The gift of the unknown is why there are endless possibilities and ideas of what the future could hold. But striking a balance between focus and imagination is an art that is becoming increasingly difficult in a society under pressure from a concert of stakeholders, overwhelmed by media consumption and individual biases. So, it is no surprise that it is almost impossible to create an environment that sets free the creative minds within any organization.
How, then, do you start on the path to an unknown that no one has ever been to? Because the idea that paves the way to a company’s future begins somewhere. At frog, this process begins with provoking the imagination.
What's going on in this session?
First, Anthony will speak to the process behind some products and experiences that have transformed our perception of what’s possible. Then, executives from various companies will join him on stage for an interactive presentation that will transport the audience to unimaginable places. Together, they will use provocations supported by lateral thinking prompts to generate ideas of what the future of industries could look like and the role businesses, designers and consumers could play in them.
Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
