As consumers flock to TikTok for self-expression and finding a community, physicians are also taking to the platform to bust medical myths and educate on public health issues. While docs using social media isn’t anything new, their ability to make relatable videos and educate a broader community in real-time is. As healthcare professionals use the platform to improve health outcomes and motivate patients, they’ve created a shift in how we learn about our health and connect globally with experts. Leveraging the inclusive and accessible environment that exists on the platform, #HealthTok is making a difference.
